So far we have 8 cars here at US-19 Dragway which is just enough to put on a great Saturday night quick 8 race!

Race added 11/5 at Emerald Coast!

After a succesful member attendance and race at Emerald Coast on September 10th the fine folks at EC dragway have invited us to return to run their promod portion of their ECHO series race on November 5th.

We had 7 returning members and 4 new members show up and raced last weekend which was great but I would like to see many more for the November 5th race. Since it doesn't seem to interfere with any other races, I hope to see more than double what we had this time!

Albany 3-26 gate times etc;

the gates will be open at noon in Albany, I am sure we will be able to have access earlier though for those which choose to get in the gate early.

3.26.2011 US-19 dragway

This SATURDAY!

Hope to see you all there!

Should be a great race with a good turnout, 5,000 flyers have been distributed in the local area for this race.

I think we already have a points chase in action with 2010 Dixie champ Keith Baker ever so slightly in the lead and Lynn Milner-Baxley hot on his heels with her last weeks runner up finish. All of our racers are still in the hunt at this point as well after only one race.

2010 meeting

Thanks to those of you who were in attendance today. I look forward to this season and hope some of the discussed plans come to fruition.

Only one rule change came about and it was regaurding out membership fees. "Any member who has been inactive for more than one year is now required to pay the new member fee of 250.

There was a hard fought discussion for the allowance of belt driven superchargers into our association with a vote of 7 to 5 it was blocked.

Congratulations!

Some of you may know this but a few our members represented DIXIE very well in Bradenton Florida at the US Street Nationals this weekend.

We would like to give recognition to the "Automatic" racers in our group as 3 out of 4 semifinalists in this class are DIXIE members...

Congrats to the Hancock's for breaking that elusive 3 second barrier, Ronnie "The King" Davis, and last but not least Robert Mathis who were all running extremely respectable in the A-P/M…
